Well, that Royal Rumble was pretty nice. The golden shoveler, Triple H came back and the Phenomenal one finally came. On the pre-show, Swagger and Mark Henry won a 4 way Tag Team match to win a place in the Royal Rumble which was pretty pointless because they pretty much came in and got thrown out in less than a minute. However, it wouldn’t of been so different if the other tag teams won anyway. They didn’t know where to go with Henry and Swagger is just stuck in mid-card hell.
One of the best matches tonight was the Last Man Standing match with two stars that are pretty familiar with hardcore- Owens and the IC champ, Ambrose. Owens got a free chair necklace and squashed Michael Cole. Probably the best match in this PPV in my opinion. The match between Kalisto and Del Rio was decent as well. Kalisto is getting a super push after Sin Cara got injured. Thank jesus for injuries I guess?
So now with the Royal Rumble itself. We all knew Roman Reigns was going to lose that championship at some point. Number 3 was the debut of indie star, AJ Styles. I didn’t expect that at all. Not that he debuted here, but that he debuted with number 3. You’d expect that he at least comes out at something after 20, to hype up the crowd near the end and at least come in and dominate with more than just 2 eliminations. I believe it could’ve been done better. In the end, Rusev gets a free TV and Triple H comes at 30 and wins the title. I actually didn’t expect this. Did the internet knew and I just didn’t get to read it? That is all. Also, Curtis Axel should of got two tries. Remember Royal Rumble 2015?
