This February Palumbo’s mixed team with Furness has started try outs. Journalism’s own Matthew Carlone is trying out for the catcher position which he will most likely get because he is the only one trying out for it. Matt Carlone was quoted saying, “ Practice is enjoyable since baseball has ended last October he has been missing the field and the feel of throwing balls around.” This season looks like it will be a good one we have Matty Ice trying out for the school team for the first time he is a formidable baseball player and an even better guy the team will be lucky to have him. The season is hard to judge so far but the crop of new talent we have there this year will look to improve on the solid season we had last year. I feel as though with all the anticipation surrounding baseball season this will be a fun season and the stands will be jam packed. The school is bubbling over with excitement from the up and coming baseball season so it’s going to be pretty awesome. Journalism’s own Steve started off going to try outs but had to drop it it will be the teams lost not to have Steve. Steve has speed and if I know anything excellent hand eye coordination. He is a good basketball player and one of Palumbo’s finest athletes so I hope his loss doesn’t affect the team too badly. All in all though we are on our way to another great season. Go Griffins Go!
